you will find tryptophan rich foods in turkey, chicken, milk, oats, cheese, soy, nuts, peanut butter, and sesame seeds
beef and foods rich in vitamin B. studies have shown that if there is a deficiency in B vitamins such as folic acids and B12 can trigger depression in some people. also you can take a vitamin B supplement or eat foods that are rich in vitamin B
these food you can eat that have vitamin B are Beef, pork, chicken, leafy greens, oranges and other citrus fruits, rice, nuts, oats, and egg
whole wheat bread- carbohydrates also increases the production of serotonin in the brain. Always go for whole grains such as whole wheat bread and brown rice
DO NOT GO FOR PROCESSED SUGARS, SUCH AS CANDY OR EVEN WHITE BREAD AND WHITE RICE.

Greek yogurt and other high protein foods helps stimulate the brains production nor-epinephrine and dopamine.

Foods to avoid
caffeine and coffee: the problem with consuming these drinks is that they inhibit levels of serotonin in your brain, and when serotonin is suppressed, which can make you depressed and feel irritable.
Candy: sweets can give you an uplifting mood and energy, however that is a temporary high. when the high/rush is over you are left feeling drained and low.
Alcohol: alcohol seems to ease sress and anxiety. However, it is a temporary feeling. Alcohol is a depressant.
Hot dogs: eating a diet of processed and fatty foods increases the risk of having depression.
